I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about something.

A couple months ago, I decided to take a big swing.

I rented a whole bunch of camera gear and lighting equipment (and watched 9 hrs of YouTube tutorials to learn how to use that stuff), booked a studio space in downtown Boston, and invited my guests - Natalie Marcotullio and Raman Khanna from the Navattic team - to hop the train from NYC and come talk shop in person.

The result is an 8 episode video interview series (each a bingeable 7-11 mins long) featuring interviews with the Navattic growth team mixed with my commentary.

Why did I do this?

As an in-house growth leader, I always stressed that I was missing something obvious everyone else was doing.

I compensated by attending conferences, watching YouTube videos, reading blog posts, and following many of my SaaS heros on social media. But it didn’t take me long to figure out that blindly following someone else’s playbook, without understanding their context - didn't work.

This is why growth folks are always inviting their peers for coffee — to pick their brains for the real-world insights you just can’t find anywhere else. Answers to questions like:

• What do you have ownership and accountability for?

• Which KPIs do you track (and where and why)?

• How do you share and manage internal expectations with senior leadership?

• How do you approach hiring and resource allocation?

• What does your weekly operating system look like?

• What keeps you up at night?

I always craved these insights. But I never had enough time to actually chat with other growth leaders to trade notes and ask questions.

So I created the series to surface the insider content that typically doesn’t get shared publicly.
